Honored that you decided to have me as your counselor to help guide you through this chapter in your life. I am aware that it is not always easy seeking help due to stereotypes and biases as it relates to counseling.
My life is driven by unconditional mercy and grace in which I choose to model. My motivation is to see others prosper physically, psychologically and spiritually from an eclectic holistic approach.

Qualifications: I have a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling as of October 13, 2012 from Webster University at Myrtle Beach, SC. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services in 2008 from the University of Gardner Webb in Boiling Springs, NC. I am applying to become a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate which will be awarded by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors (NCBLPC). I am a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCAS-3386-A/Associate) via the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB) as well.
I have provided psychotherapy for over 10 years & provided substance abuse counseling for over 10 years. I offer an array of services that include but are not limited to therapy for parenting, individual, group, family, and couples. I offer co-morbid counseling services for children, adolescents, adults, as well as the LGBT population. I view every client as a unique and will treat each client as such. I believe in a collaborative approach while working with clients. I will help each client develop his or her own individual counseling goals and I will provide assistance in helping successfully achieve those goals. I believe that counseling should provide a safe and productive place to share and explore new ways of thinking. Assisting to achieve new pathways into everyday life is what makes my career enjoyable. During our sessions, I will use several therapeutic approaches. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt Therapy, as well as person-centered individualized approaches.
